Master Sergeant Sherrie Phillips was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. She graduated from Wilbur D Mills High School in 1983. She received an Associate and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Strayer University of Virginia and Master of Business Administration from Grantham University.
She enlisted in Arkansas Army National Guard on August 30, 1984, on the Split Option Program. She attended Basic Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey and Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Patient Administrative Specialist MOS 71G10.
Her military assignments included 204th Dental Medical Detachment and DET 4 MED TDA STARC, as Patient Administration Specialist; STARC(-) and Joint Force Headquarters, a Section Sergeant at the USPFO where she is currently assigned. She is a Veteran of Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield.
MSG Phillips awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with an Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Reserve Component Achievement with two Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with a gold hourglass and Mobilization Device, National Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Star, Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 4, Army Service Ribbon, Arkansas Exceptional Service Medal, Arkansas Federal Service Ribbon, Arkansas Service Ribbon.
She is currently serving in the Army National Guard as a financial management technician and is the United States Property and Fiscal Office NCOIC. She is currently employed as a Budget Analyst for the G4-Deputy Chief of State of Logistics. She serves as the treasurer for the Little Rock Chapter of Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority Inc. where she has been a member since 2016. MSG Phillips is active in her community and serves on the City Council. She is the proud mother of a son, Zachary.
